July 20, 1969

One of the few things our government has done well has been to put men on the Moon. America first accomplished this feat on this date in 1969 with less space ship computing power than a present-day caluclator.

It's good to remember good things.

Now where in Earth's allegedly happiest place did you find time to post this?

It is good to remember. You sure about the calculator?

Do you remember the landing? Pa says he sat me down and made me watch it....

1 - Dial-up connection at the condo.
2 - Pretty sure. I'm talking only about the Command Module and Lunar Module, not NASA itself.
3 - I don't. I feel certain that I saw it, though, either at school that day or later at home, whenever it happened. Mom worked for NASA, you know.

awesome. I didn't realize that. I have a friend or two from Friendswood who remember the whole Apollo 13 debacle/triumph because their fathers played various roles...

Gotta go water your father-in-law's grass....

Of this I am sure: Dennis didn't see it.
